Vandalism on the Common

From the Ewelme News, January 1978

“Ewelme Sports Council

Members are rather concerned at the amount of vandalism which still takes place. For instance, we have had ponies being exercised on the cricket square, motor cycles using the football pitch as a grass track, and the pavilion roof used as an extension to the play area. Parents would, we are sure, take an interest in preventing such things, and it is to be hoped that these kind of activities will cease.
